This Privacy Policy discloses the privacy practices for our website, www.rivalrides.com (the "Site"), as well as related console games, [websites, mobile applications, products], and services we may offer to you, (collectively referred to as the "Services"). This Privacy Policy does not govern our collection of information through any other website, mobile application or other means, other than through the Site or Services.

We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes to this Privacy Policy, we will provide notice of such changes as appropriate, such as by placing a prominent notice through our Services, and taking other measures as required by law. If we make an administrative change, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the bottom of this Privacy Policy. We may collect information you provide to us directly or automatically, when you choose to use the Services, or via other sources, including other users and through third-party services and organizations.   • Identifiers, such as your email address and Oculus, Steam, and/or other similar platforms, VR hardware, and device identifiers;

  • Information from Oculus, Steam or other platforms when you create an account to play our games via such platforms, such as your profile picture, display name, or other information that you have made available via your privacy settings on such platforms;

  • Details you provide in response to surveys about our products, promotions, sweepstakes or contests and beta testing. In some jurisdictions, we are required to publicly share information of sweepstakes and contest winners;

  • information from individuals and third parties to assess and pursue potential business opportunities;

  • Electronic network activity, such as gameplay activity and statistics, e.g., game achievements, time spent in game, login activity, and device event information, including crash reports, request and referral URL's and system activity details; Internet protocol (IP) address, user settings, cookie identifiers and platform identifiers , in game analytics, player event data, general location information (including approximate location derived from IP address) and hardware information such as your GPU (type and clock speed), CPU (type and clock speed), system memory, OS locale, and Internet service provider;

  • Commercial information, including VR hardware and platform types; aggregate information from Oculus or Steam (e.g., what has been purchased and refund metrics). We do not collect or store any payment card information for purchases on our Services;

  • Content which you submit e.g. 

  • Information you provide when seeking help from us such as your name, telephone number and records of the issues you experience, user name on the Discord platform, or other information you may provide when you communicate with us;

  • Information that you make available through our interactive features (e.g., the games themselves, forums, blogs, and social media pages). Any information you provide on these features will be considered “public”, unless otherwise required by applicable law, and is not subject to the privacy protections referenced herein. Please exercise caution before revealing personal information to strangers via our Services;

  • information regarding your use of our Services, such as pages that you visit before, during and after using our Services, information about the links you click, the types of content you interact with, the frequency and duration of your activities, and other information about how you use our Services;

  • cookies, pixel tags, local storage, and other technologies to automatically collect information through your use of our Services. For more information see our Cookies Policy. You can change your preferences here; and

  • information obtained from other sources, including from other users and through third-party services. For example, if users choose to send us extracts of gameplay.

When you participate in online games, in-game profile information, gameplay, and statistics may also be visible to other users. Your gameplay, in-game profile information, and in-game voice chats may also be recorded by us (and/or by other users) in connection with enforcing the terms and conditions of the Services referred to above.

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or other age as required by local law), and we do not knowingly collect or store any personal information from children under 13. If parents or others believe that we have unintentionally collected information from children under 13, they may reach out to us via the contact address located below.

We recognize a special need to protect the personal information of children even over 13. We urge parents to instruct their children to never give out their real names, addresses, phone numbers, or other personal information without parental permission, when online. We also recommend parents familiarize themselves with parental controls available on consoles, mobile telephones, tablets, and other devices they provide to their child and accompany their child when online. 

   2. How We Use Your Information

We will primarily use information about you to provide the Services to you, such as, managing your information and accounts, answering requests for customer or technical support, etc. We will also use your information for administrative purposes, where we have a legal basis to do so, such as ensuring internal quality control and safety, authenticating and verifying individual identities, enhancing the operation of our Services, analyzing statistics relating to use of the Services, and improve our product and service offerings. We may use your information to provide you with updates related to the Services, in connection with our marketing and promotional efforts, to contact you regarding administrative notices, to tailor and provide you with content and advertisements via email campaigns, targeted on-line advertisements on social media and at trade shows and other events. For any questions regarding our marketing practices, or if you would like to withdraw consent of the use of your information for such purposes, please contact us in the Contact Us section below. We may use information in connection with any beta testing you participate in and to resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems and enforce our agreements with you, including but not limited to our Terms of Service. Finally, we may use your information for other purposes as requested by you or as permitted by applicable law, such as to promote safety, integrity and security of our Services, to offer tools for sharing content with friends and to comply with our legal obligations, including if we have good-faith belief it is necessary.

We may share information about you with our affiliate companies and service providers engaged by us (such as our development platform and analytics providers, [Google Analytics] ,IT support and hosting, [payment processing], marketing and related services, including online advertising), as well as our employees, contractors, officers, directors, representatives, and agents in order to provide you with goods or services you have requested, to ensure the success and functionality of our Services. We may use third-party Application Program Interfaces (“APIs”) and software development kits (“SDKs”) as part of the functionality of our Services.

We may also share information about you: (i) if required to do so by applicable law, regulation, or legal process; (ii) if necessary to exercise, establish or defend our legal rights; (iii) if necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of any person; and (iv) in connection with the sale of our business or assets.

We do not sell information about you.

Occasionally we may be required by law enforcement or judicial authorities to provide personal information to the appropriate governmental authorities. Upon receipt of a search warrant, court order, subpoena, or other legal request, we may access, preserve and share information with regulators, law enforcement, or others if we have a good faith belief that the law requires us to do so. This includes responding to legal requests from jurisdictions outside of the United States where we have a good faith belief that the response is required by law in that jurisdiction, affects users in that jurisdiction, and is consistent with internationally recognized standards.

You may have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority if you believe our processing of your personal information violates applicable law including in the EU and UK.

We have taken appropriate safeguards to require that your personal information will remain protected and require our third-party service providers and partners to have appropriate safeguards as well.

  • Right to Know. In relation to your right to access described above, you may request that we disclose to you the categories and specific pieces of personal information that we have collected about you in the preceding 12 months, the categories of sources from which your personal information is collected, the business or commercial purpose for collecting your personal information, the categories of personal information that we disclosed for a business purpose in the preceding 12 months, the categories of third parties with whom we have shared your personal information, and the business or commercial purpose for each disclosure.

  • Right to Delete. In relation to your right to delete as described above, you may request that we delete any personal information that we have collected from you.

  • Non-Discrimination. You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment by us for the exercise of their rights conferred by the CCPA.

  8. Disclosures to Users Outside the United States

 As we are an Israeli company, it may be necessary to transfer your personal information to Israel [and to the U.S. and other third countries outside of the UK/EEA in order for us to provide the Services to you and such third countries may have data protection laws that are different and less protective from the laws where you live. Where we transfer UK/EEA personal data to third parties in third countries, we utilize Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, and rely on the European Commission’s adequacy decisions about certain countries, as applicable, for such transfers.
